Disputes

A dispute, or chargeback, is a card payment the cardholder's bank is reversing. PayMongo holds the amount and a PHP 800 fee from your payout until the bank decides. PayMongo sends no webhook for disputes, so list them to find new ones. The package reads disputes; answering one with evidence happens in the PayMongo dashboard, which has no API. Disputes are account-wide, so only the Operator reads them, from the administration area, and the Playground never creates one, so a dispute identifier is typed in.

Every demonstration here makes a real PayMongo API call in test mode. Nothing is simulated, and no real money moves.

List disputes

Fetch one cursor page of the disputes filed against the account's payments.

Test mode: PayMongo's API reference does not document the disputes endpoints yet, and it answers 403 access_denied for accounts without dispute access, test-mode accounts included. The real response is shown either way.

PHP
use Luigel\Paymongo\Facades\Paymongo;

$dispute = Paymongo::disputes()->list(
    params: [
        'limit' => 20,
    ],
);

Retrieve dispute

Fetch one dispute by its identifier (dsp_…), from the list or the PayMongo dashboard, to see its amount, reason, and whether it is under review, won, lost, or expired.

Test mode: PayMongo's API reference does not document the disputes endpoints yet, and it answers 403 access_denied for accounts without dispute access, test-mode accounts included. The real response is shown either way.
